Lorem ipsum generator
Placeholder text in the amount you need: words, sentences or paragraphs.
Placeholder text, used well
Lorem ipsum lets designers and developers fill a layout before the real content exists. Use realistic amounts: a page with two lines of dummy text can hide problems that appear with a real five-paragraph article. Replace it before launch; search engines notice placeholder copy.
Frequently asked questions
What is lorem ipsum?
Placeholder text used in design and layout so that attention stays on the look rather than the words. It is scrambled Latin adapted from a work by Cicero, written in 45 BC.
Why use it instead of real copy?
Real text distracts reviewers into reading it. Placeholder text has a natural word-length distribution, so layouts look realistic without anyone judging the content.
Will I get the same text every time?
Yes. The generator is deterministic, so the same settings always produce the same text, which keeps screenshots and tests stable.
Can I start without "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet"?
Yes, untick the option to begin with random words instead.
