Sort & dedupe lines
Paste a list and clean it up: sort, remove duplicates and blanks, trim, reverse or number the lines.
Tidy lists in seconds
Email lists, log excerpts, keyword lists, IDs pasted from a spreadsheet: they all arrive messy. Combine the options to, for example, trim each line, drop blanks, remove duplicates and sort in a single pass.
Frequently asked questions
How do I remove duplicate lines?
Tick "Remove duplicates". The first occurrence of each line is kept and later copies are dropped. Tick "Ignore case" to treat Apple and apple as the same.
What does numeric sort do?
It sorts by the leading number on each line, so 9 comes before 10 and 100. A normal alphabetical sort would put 10 and 100 before 9.
Is the order of operations important?
Trim and empty-line removal run first, then de-duplication, then sorting, then reversing, then numbering.
Is there a size limit?
No fixed limit; it handles tens of thousands of lines comfortably in your browser.
